Easton Soccer tryouts are right around the corner. We will hold a Parent session to discuss the Easton Soccer Travel Program. This session is geared toward families that are new to the travel program, a refresher for returning families and a great opportunity to meet members of EYSL, our Director of Coaching John Barata, and ask questions.

Travel soccer is a town program in which town teams play against other local towns. This program requires some local travel, usually not longer then 30 minutes, during game days on Saturdays or Sundays. All Easton Soccer teams play during the spring, which is our official soccer season, and most teams also play during the fall. The girls teams play games on Saturdays and the boys teams play games on Sundays in order to accommodate sports like baseball. In addition, many of the teams practice and play games during the winter at a much lighter schedule then the spring and fall seasons. All teams are formulated in late June following our May tryouts. We try to place players according to ability on the correct teams and therefore all players are required to tryout with their age group. To correctly determine your age group CLICK HERE
For additional questions please contact the Easton Soccer DOC, John Barata email@example.com.
Practice schedules are determined individually by each Travel team Coach. And are very dependent upon field availability and Easton's Health Department mosquito warnings. Typically, travel teams practice twice a week in the evening or after school on the Easton Soccer fields or town of Easton fields.
U10 travel program is offered to 3rd and 4th graders. Most teams will play in the fall travel season and all teams will play in the spring travel season. Teams are formed based on the previous coach evaluations, professional evaluations and from the previous playing season and play in the South Shore Soccer League (SSSL). All players participating in the travel program will follow all current SSSL by-laws ruling as written. This also pertains to making an effort, depending on level and numbers of player sign-ups, to place teams in SSSL Divisions 1 - 3 according to ability level. All efforts will be made to place all players wishing to travel, certain exceptions may be necessary to limit numbers if teams fall outside of preferred size. In the Fall most games are played on Sat afternoons and in the Spring Girls play on Sat and Boys on Sunday afternoon. The format is 6v6 ( six players verse six players).
Easton Soccer teams playing at the U12 level play in the South Shore Soccer League (SSSL). Teams are formed based on the previous coach evaluations, spring professional evaluations and from the previous playing season and play in the South Shore Soccer League (SSSL). All players participating in the travel program will follow all current SSSL by-laws ruling as written. This also pertains to making an effort, depending on level and numbers of player sign-ups, to place teams in SSSL Divisions 1-3 according to ability level. The U12 schedule in the fall is played on Sat afternoon. During the spring season Girls play on Sat and the boys play on Sat afternoon. “This is the critical age for our soccer players – over 50% of players drop out of soccer – LET’S KEEP THEM PLAYING!” This is one of the most important goals in the U13 and U14 programs. Our U14 program is dedicated to challenging players to be the best they can, improving their individual skills, placing them in a fair competition situation and keeping them interested in soccer. All Easton Soccer teams play in the South Shore Soccer League (SSSL). The format is 11v11 with games played on Saturdays/Sundays determined by gender.
If high school age players in Easton want to play soccer the U16/18 Division’s provides that opportunity. All teams play in the South Shore Soccer League (SSSL). The U16 and up Division play only in the spring and games are on Sundays.
